The emergency medical services (EMS) fellowship prepares highly qualified and motivated academic emergency physicians for leadership and medical oversight of pre- and out-of-hospital emergency care systems with advanced competencies in EMS system design, administration, and clinical care. This is accomplished through exposure to multiple types of EMS systems including fire-based, ground and air critical care transport, and special operations through local and federal law enforcement agencies.
