The Waycross, GA program is a rural track program sponsored by HCA Healthcare/Mercer University School of Medicine. Residents have the benefit of both a university-based education and community-based education, spending year 1 in Savannah, GA and years 2 and 3 in Waycross, GA . Outpatient training is provided by a group of physicians who have a long history and practice of teaching medical students and residents. Two former residents of this program play a significant role in teaching.
