Special Features & Unique Opportunities

Our program offers two unique longitudinal tracks: Chronic Disease/Palliative Care and Tropical Medicine. Both tracks offer regular didactics over the 3 years and two dedicated electives. For Trop Med, those electives occur abroad in Sierra Leone in a hospital setting. For CD/PC, those electives occur with the palliative care team. - The Whittier population is 2/3 Hispanic. Our clinic population is about 40% Medi-Cal and 25% Medicare. Our clinic is procedure heavy, esp with Ortho, Derm, and Gy
