Special Features & Unique Opportunities

Areas of concentration in psychiatric subspecialties: emergency, geriatric/palliative care, community, administrative, forensic, psychosomatic, women's, sleep, addiction, first episode schizophrenia, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic psychiatry. We train residents to provide culturally responsive, structurally competent care to diverse populations with significant social determinants of poor health. Most of our core faculty have a UMN academic appointment.
