Special Features & Unique Opportunities

The program offers a vast clinical experience in a 37 bed PICU that consists of medical, surgical and cardiac patients from a diverse urban and suburban environment. The trainee will learn the full breadth of pediatric critical care, including advanced ventilatory strategies, ECMO, renal replacement therapy and ultrasound. The trainee will become adept at the management of a wide spectrum of medical and surgical patients, including bone marrow transplant, trauma, and cardiac surgical patients.
